Clearing, as we define, is an act of internally achieving a state in which one is able to have a clear headspace. In the state of clearing there lay no biases, opinions, prejudices – be it determined as good or bad. Whether these thoughts are associated with a positive or a negative connotation, one is simply able to keep them aside and see life as is.
Why does clearing become important?
In the space of clearing, one is able to bring a fresh view on the subject – be it relationships, work or comprehension of life stuff. It surpasses the notions that are fixed into one’s head and allow them to bring a different point of view.
What are the benefits of clearing?
Once we can see to ourselves that there is more than one way to look at things, we can see that we are able to see things from the eye of another human being, then be it your own spouse or somebody unrelated that you encounter while walking on the street. One is, therefore, able to empathise with the other individual.
How can one achieve a clearing?
This process is quite simple. Beware though, it is not easy. One needs to practice daily with awareness, and with discipline. Our mind is preoccupied with thoughts and there is a constant inner chatter going on. We have to catch these thoughts and recognise that they are our bias, prejudice or opinions and that they’re emerging from our past experiences and memories.
To learn this craft, one needs to practice each day. Each morning one can simply exercise by sitting in a specific space and at a specific time and jot the thoughts as they appear. Writing them as they come, without altering or refining the words, but just as they are flow will allow one to see oneself from a distance. There comes a point, in this writing, where one can sense the inner chatter has either stopped altogether or silenced significantly. One can experience this moment as is. One is able to be in this moment without being preoccupied with thoughts or opinions. The goal is to be in this state as long as possible. If not through the day, writing each morning will give a balanced and a composed headspace to at least begin the day in this state.
Daily practice will increase this span of being able to be in the moment. It will allow one to observe themselves, their inner state and the surroundings sensitively. This sensitivity will harness energy into a focussed manner to be efficient and productive whilst being at ease and comfort, and without the sense of burning oneself out.
