We all have exactly the same amount of time in a day, yet many feel that they're out of time and aren't achieving as much as they imagined. There are some though who seem to be doing so much with the same amount of time.
One thing we don't realise is that our time is not managed optimally. We intend to accomplish a lot and yet feel to be in a conundrum. If we do manage a day and do everything exactly as per the schedule chalked out, we feel that life starts getting monotonous and predictable. On the other hand, If we don't we feel like we're losing out on doing something remarkable.
The simple thing about time is its simplicity. It simply keeps ticking. Whether we want it or not, whether we like it or not, whether we catch up with it or not, time just keeps ticking. In that ticking, if and (and there are moments) when we're present to this ticking, there is an experience of slowness. The work simply keeps happening. There is no meaning associated with that work but its outcome or direct impact.
Whenever we try to manage time with a motive hidden behind it, we're left dissatisfied - even when we manage it. But when we participate in the ticking of time just to be fully with the task at hand, it brings a great deal of joy.
