A Choice always appears to be a position to take. But it is also a point of view. One cannot take the instances and situations that come along their way as resistance and still be able to deliver upon them. One is only able to work towards these situations when they choose to work for it. Not like, this is what I have and there’s no option, but more like this is the option that I have, and I choose to take it.
Most of the time when things go as per my wish and will, I never bother to pause and enquire into it. But, when things do not go as desired or imagined, I have resisted, and therefore suffered.
Therefore, even for the situations that appear to be imposed upon, we always have a choice to make them as our own. I always have a choice to thrive and experience life or to resist it and experience suffering. Most of the time when things go as per my wish and will, I never bother to pause and enquire into it. But, when things do not go as desired or imagined, I have resisted, and therefore suffered. It is here that the distinction of choice that has transformed me. Without choosing the situation that I'm in (even if seemingly imposed upon me), I’m unable to live. And, when I’m not living, I'm always suffering. In suffering, I struggle to survive. It is only with the choice I can involve and enjoy life, no matter the external circumstances and factors.
