It is all the same.
It took me more than 3 decades to come to the conclusion that the so-called 'Art" movies of my childhood were equally good or bad as the mass movies.
There is an unsaid framework when it comes to mass creation and art creation. Once we buy that framework, we want to label everything we see, listen or hear into that framework. The same applies to popular music and so-called "classical" music. It's all noise. We train our ears to our analysis to a certain pattern and then label that noise as per our understanding.
What is music to one can be an unbearable noise to another. It is all the same.
