Karma

Nature has cause and effect. One may call it a principle or a natural law. And that is it.

In search of content to fill the emptiness of life, the human mind gives meaning to this natural law of cause and effect. Karma works in nature, and it’s transactional. The efforts of the human mind have been to use this natural law to set context around life intellectually. In some narratives, the context is stretched beyond one life. That is where the fruits of this life are considered as the karma of a previous one. Once the mind accepts this lie, it uses it across the board. To all its societal frameworks, mental constructs and spiritual seeking.

If we connect to our previous conversation (post on Good vs Bad), we can clearly see the established connection. Good karma gives good results. Bad karma gives bad results. Good karma, despite bad circumstances, will one day give good results. So don’t worry about the results and keep doing good or your part. In all of this, we can clearly see there is expectation. There is pretence. There is a lie which we create called karma to keep our mind busy and entertained.
