When we are discussing improvement, it is important to distinguish the domain in which we want to take this discussion. Both the domains are important for human existence and yet very distinct at the same time. The philosophical domain and the practical domain. This applies not only for improvement but many other important topics as well. For example, if we look into 'dependence', it makes complete sense to detach, remove our dependence from the root in a philosophical sense, but in a practical world you are still dependent on your doctor to show-up for a surgery, your lawyer to attend court dates, or your food delivery guy to deliver food. Similarly when it comes to improvement, it makes no sense to improve a little in being more kind, or less cruel or more happy or less sad. It will not bring complete change. What you bring in here is not improvement, like some progress but a transformation. It is going to be a radical change, like a revolution and not evolution.
