Hot Letter

What is your preferred way of communication? Do you like to write a letter or an email, or to go meet a person or picking up your phone to talk? There are different ways of communication. Especially thanks to technology these options are very cost-effective and yet very useful. Also based on the type of communication, it can be divided into the synchronous and asynchronous form of communication.

Many people argue that one should also go for synchronous communication. That gives it a human touch and so more emotional. That is true. But it is also the most tricky communication. One normally has very little choice to react wisely. Whereas in an async communication like email or messenger, there is the time between a received communication and your response to it. In that time-space, there are multiple choices. However, upsetting the situation and response from another person is, one may choose to write that "Hot Letter" with whatever comes to your mind. It a process of catharsis. You just pour out everything on a piece of paper or a blank screen. Then you allow that 'hot letter' to cool down. After a cooling period, you read the letter. You can throw it in a dust bin, or take some important point from it and then rephrase it. Now you are good to send the letter.

One interesting question to ask yourself after reading your 'hot letter' is :Who wrote this letter? Was it me or my ego ?
