We like complications
Many of the things in life are simple. We are conditioned to make things complicated. All the intelligence and smartness we use in understanding life complicates it.
We are conditioned to find meaning in life. We do not accept that life can be empty. Thus, we use our “intelligence” to bring meaning to life and fill its emptiness with the stories we create about life. We want it to be deep. We want it to be profound. We are not fine with the meaningless and emptiness of life.
Truth is life is empty , life is meaningless. But. Truth when believed is a lie.
